KorttiMarket
For sellers

Prohibited items

KorttiMarket is a marketplace for trading cards, and we want to keep it trustworthy. This page explains what you may not sell or publish in the Service. The list supplements the terms of service. It is not exhaustive: we also remove other listings that are unlawful or against the purpose of the Service.

Prohibited items and conduct

1. Counterfeits and unauthorised copies

  • Counterfeit cards intended to pass as genuine.
  • Proxies, meaning copies made for playing, sold as genuine or whose origin is not disclosed. A proxy is not a genuine card, and selling it as genuine is fraud.
  • Counterfeit grading slabs or labels, false cert numbers and slabs in which the card has been swapped or altered.
  • Resealed products, if sold as factory sealed.

Selling copies clearly marked as proxies may still infringe rights holders' rights, and we may remove such listings.

2. Altered cards without disclosure

Altered cards may be sold only if the alteration is clearly stated and the photos show it. It is prohibited to sell the following without disclosure:

  • trimmed, coloured or painted cards;
  • cleaned, pressed or chemically treated cards whose condition has been improved;
  • restored cards (for example a glued, filled or ironed crease);
  • cards whose corners, edges or surface have been altered.

3. Stolen and unlawfully obtained goods

You may not sell stolen, embezzled or otherwise unlawfully obtained goods. If you suspect a listed item is stolen, report it: Report content. We may disclose information to the authorities as the law provides.

4. Items infringing intellectual property

  • unauthorised copies, bootleg products and pirated products;
  • items that infringe copyright, trademarks or other rights;
  • images you do not have the right to use (for example images copied from another seller's listing).

A rights holder can report an infringement as instructed on Report content.

5. Illegal or harmful items

  • weapons, ammunition and explosives;
  • narcotics and drug paraphernalia;
  • medicines and other licensed products;
  • dangerous or health-hazardous products;
  • items whose sale is prohibited by economic sanctions or other legislation;
  • products containing personal data, accounts or access rights.

6. Adult and offensive content

  • pornographic or sexually explicit content;
  • content inciting violence, hatred or discrimination against a group of people;
  • content glorifying extremist organisations or terrorism;
  • content relating to the exploitation of children (reported to the authorities immediately);
  • content that violates privacy or honour.

7. Lotteries and gambling

The Finnish Lotteries Act requires a licence for lotteries and other gambling. The following are therefore prohibited:

  • raffles, "pack break" raffles and the like, where a fee is required to participate and a prize is drawn;
  • random mystery packs ("mystery box") whose contents are not disclosed and which have the features of a lottery;
  • betting and other gambling.

You may sell a bundle or lot if the contents are clearly stated.

8. Misleading listings and circumvention

  • listings where the item does not exist or does not match the description;
  • bid manipulation and fabricated feedback;
  • listings that steer the sale outside the Service to circumvent the Service's rules;
  • selling accounts, bids or feedback;
  • listings aimed at deceiving other users.

9. Items unrelated to trading cards

The Service is intended for trading cards and related products (cards, boosters, booster boxes, binders, sleeves, slabs, accessories). Other items may be removed.

What happens if a listing breaks the rules?

We remove or hide the listing, and we may issue a warning or close the user's account temporarily or permanently, especially in repeated or serious cases (for example counterfeits and fraud). We notify you of the decision and its grounds. You can appeal the decision, see Report content. We report suspected crimes to the authorities.

Unsure? Ask first

If you are unsure whether you may sell an item, contact us before publishing the listing: [email protected]. If you notice a prohibited item, report it.
