Report content

If you find a listing, message, feedback or user on KorttiMarket that you suspect is illegal or against the rules, you can report it to us. This page explains how to make a report, how we handle it and how you can appeal decisions. Our procedure is based on the EU Digital Services Act (DSA, Regulation (EU) 2022/2065).

What can you report?

You can report, for example:

  • the sale of a counterfeit or unauthorised product (Prohibited items);
  • content infringing copyright or a trademark;
  • fraud, phishing or scams;
  • the sale of stolen goods;
  • content relating to child exploitation, violence, hatred or terrorism;
  • inappropriate feedback or harassment;
  • other content you suspect is illegal.

If it is a dispute between two users about a sale (for example the card does not match the listing), contact the other party first. You may tell us about the situation too, but we do not resolve private-law disputes on behalf of the parties.

How to report

  1. Use the Report function. Next to every listing and user profile there is a "Report" link. If you cannot use it, send an email to [email protected].
  2. Say which content it concerns. Include the exact address (URL) of the content or the listing ID.
  3. Explain why you think the content is illegal or against the rules. Say in enough detail which law or rule is broken and give reasons.
  4. Give your contact details. We need your name and email address so we can confirm receipt and tell you the decision. Name and email are not required if the report concerns child sexual abuse or another serious offence listed in the Digital Services Act.
  5. Confirm your good faith. Confirm that you believe the information in the report is accurate and complete.

A report is processed faster when it is clear and includes screenshots or evidence.

What do we do after a report?

  • We confirm receipt by email without delay.
  • We assess the report in a timely, diligent, non-discriminatory and objective manner. A human handles the report, and automated tools may be used as support, but the final decision is always made by a person.
  • We decide on measures. Measures can include removing or hiding content, restricting visibility, prohibiting listing, restricting or closing an account, or rejecting the report.
  • We communicate the decision. The reporter is told the decision and the options for appeal.
  • We notify the authorities if we suspect a crime that threatens life or safety.

In urgent cases, such as fraud, we may temporarily remove content even before the final assessment.

Statement of reasons

If we remove or restrict your content or account, we will send you without delay a statement of reasons containing:

  • information on which measure applies (for example removal, restriction or closure of the account) and its territorial scope and duration;
  • the facts and circumstances on which the decision is based, and whether the decision was based on a report or on our own initiative;
  • information on whether automated means were used in the decision;
  • the legal ground (the law the content breaches) or the contractual ground (the terms of service) and an explanation of why the content breaches it;
  • information on the options for appeal.

A statement is not provided if your contact details are not known or if the case involves high-volume deceptive commercial content (for example mass spam).

Options for appeal

1. Internal complaint-handling system. If you disagree with our decision, you can complain within six months of the decision. The complaint is free of charge. Send the complaint to [email protected] with "Complaint" and the decision ID in the subject line. The complaint is handled by a qualified person who did not make the original decision, and the outcome is given with reasons, without delay, diligently and objectively. The decision may be reversed, and if so, we will put the situation right.

2. Out-of-court dispute settlement. If you disagree with the outcome of the internal complaint, you can seek resolution from an out-of-court dispute settlement body under the Digital Services Act. A list of such bodies is available on the European Commission's website. We undertake to engage in good faith.

3. Court. Your right to go to court always remains.

4. Supervisory authority. You can also lodge a complaint with Finland's Digital Services Coordinator, the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom (traficom.fi), if you believe we are breaching the Digital Services Act.

Preventing misuse

We may temporarily suspend a user who frequently and manifestly without basis reports content, or who frequently shares manifestly illegal content. The suspension is announced in advance.

Trusted flaggers

Reports from trusted flaggers under the Digital Services Act are processed with priority. If you represent an authority or organisation, contact: [email protected].

Requests from authorities

Authorities should send orders to remove content and requests for information primarily to the DSA point of contact: see Contact.

Your personal data

The reporter's name and email address may be disclosed to the user the report concerns if necessary to justify the decision, unless it is a case in which the data may not be disclosed. We process the data in accordance with the privacy policy.

If you bought an illegal product

If we discover that you have bought a product that turned out to be illegal, we will inform you as the law requires.
