What is KorttiMarket?
KorttiMarket is a Finnish online marketplace for trading cards where private persons and businesses buy and sell cards by auction or at a fixed price. The Service includes Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece and Lorcana cards as well as hockey cards. Read more: About KorttiMarket.
Is KorttiMarket free to use?
Yes, buying is free and selling is currently free for private sellers. If fees are introduced, they will be shown clearly before you publish a listing. See Fees.
Does KorttiMarket handle payments?
No, KorttiMarket does not handle payments; the buyer pays the seller directly. The payment method can be, for example, bank transfer, MobilePay or cash on pickup. KorttiMarket is not a party to the sale.
Who can register on KorttiMarket?
Anyone aged 15 or older can register. Purchases and bids by persons under 18 require a guardian's consent. Businesses can register with a business account, see For business sellers.
Can businesses sell on KorttiMarket?
Yes, businesses and other traders can sell, but additional obligations apply to them. These include providing seller information and a 14-day right of withdrawal when selling to a consumer. See For business sellers.
Auctions and bidding
How does an auction work?
In an auction, the buyer with the highest bid wins when the auction ends. The listing shows the current price, the time left and the lowest acceptable next bid. Bidding requires a logged-in account with a verified email address. See How buying works.
What is a maximum bid, or automatic bidding?
A maximum bid is the highest amount you are willing to pay, and the Service bids on your behalf only as much as is needed to keep you in the lead. For example, if you place a maximum bid of €30 and the highest competing bid is €20, the price becomes €21 (one €1 increment above). The price shown is the second-highest maximum plus one increment, capped at the leader's maximum. If two maximums are equal, the earlier bid wins. Your maximum is not shown to others. Examples: How buying works.
Is a bid binding?
Yes, a bid is binding, and the winner of an auction must complete the purchase. So do not bid an amount you are not prepared to pay. See Terms of Service.
Can a bid be retracted?
Not normally, because a bid is binding. If you made an obvious mistake, such as typing too many zeros, contact the seller and support at [email protected] immediately and we can look at the case separately.
What is a bid increment?
A bid increment is the smallest amount by which a new bid must exceed the current price. The increment depends on the price: the higher the price, the larger the increment. The lowest acceptable next bid is always shown in the listing. By default the increment is €0.50 below €10, €1 from €10 to €49.99, €2 from €50 to €199.99, €5 from €200 to €499.99, €10 from €500 to €999.99, €25 from €1,000 to €4,999.99 and €50 from €5,000 upwards. The administrators can change the increments, and the exact rules are shown on each listing page. The first bid may equal the starting price.
What is a reserve price?
A reserve price is a secret minimum price the seller sets for an auction and is willing to sell at. If the highest bid does not reach the reserve when the auction ends, no sale is made. If the reserve is met, the seller must sell to the winner. When a maximum bid reaches the reserve, the price jumps to the reserve price. The listing tells you whether the reserve has been met.
What does the anti-snipe extension mean?
The extension means that if a bid that changes the price or the leader is placed when less than two minutes remain, the auction ends at the time of the bid + 2 minutes. For example, if an auction ends at 20:00:00 and a bid is placed at 19:59:30, the new end time is 20:01:30. That way nobody can win an auction with a surprise bid in the last second. By default there is no limit on the number of extensions, but if the leader only raises their own maximum, the auction is not extended. The listing page shows when an auction has been extended. Example timeline: How buying works.
What is Buy Now?
Buy Now is a fixed price at which you can buy the card immediately without an auction. When you confirm the purchase, the sale is made at once. Some listings have several units, and you can choose the quantity. In an auction the Buy Now price disappears by default when the first bid is placed.
What do I do when I win an auction?
Contact the seller without delay, within three days at the latest, and agree on payment and delivery. The payment period is five days unless otherwise agreed. More information: How buying works.
Payment and shipping
How do I pay for the cards?
You pay the seller directly in the agreed way, for example by bank transfer, MobilePay or cash on pickup. Pay only to the account or number the seller gave and only to whoever is selling the card. See Safe trading.
Which payment methods should be avoided?
Avoid payments that cannot be reversed or that carry no buyer protection, such as "Friends & Family" type gift payments, gift cards, cryptocurrency and quick money transfers. A seller asking you to pay this way is a warning sign of a scam.
How should cards be shipped?
Cards should be shipped in a penny sleeve, toploader and team bag, packed between pieces of cardboard, and valuable cards tracked. Graded cards are packed in bubble wrap and a rigid box. See Shipping.
What shipping options are there?
The options are Posti letter and parcel, Matkahuolto, DB Schenker, Budbee and pickup. The seller states which options are offered and what they cost. See Shipping.
Who is responsible for a lost shipment?
In sales between private persons, risk in principle passes to the buyer once the shipment is handed to the carrier, unless otherwise agreed, so delivery liability should be agreed in advance. When buying from a business seller, the seller is responsible for the item until it has been delivered to you. See Shipping.
Selling
How do I sell a card?
Create a listing on the Sell page: choose the category and card details, add photos, state the condition, set a price and choose auction or Buy Now. Good photos and an honest description sell best. See How selling works.
How much does selling cost?
Selling is currently free for private sellers. Any future fees will be shown before you publish a listing. See Fees.
Can I sell graded cards on KorttiMarket?
Yes, state the grading company, grade and cert number as well as photos of the slab front and back. That lets the buyer verify the card on the grading company's website. See Grading guide.
What if the buyer does not pay?
Contact the buyer first, and if they do not reply or pay within the agreed time, tell us at [email protected]. We can take action against the user's conduct, but we do not collect payments. Do not ship the card before the payment has arrived in your account.
Must the seller sell if the reserve price is met?
Yes, if the reserve is met, the seller must sell the card to the winner of the auction. If the reserve is not met, the seller is not obliged to sell.
Cards and condition
What do the condition grades mean?
The condition grades are Mint (flawless), Near Mint (almost flawless), Excellent, Good, Light Played, Played and Poor, and they describe wear on corners, edges and surface as well as creases. A Near Mint card, for example, may have at most very small marks but no creases. See Condition guide.
What is the difference between Mint and Near Mint?
A Mint card has no visible flaws, whereas a Near Mint card may have very small marks, such as a tiny white dot on a corner. Mint is in practice as it was when opened. See Condition guide.
What does grading mean?
Grading means that an outside company (for example PSA, BGS or CGC) checks a card's authenticity and condition, gives it a grade and seals it in a slab. The grade is usually on a 1–10 scale. See Grading guide.
How do I verify the cert of a graded card?
Enter the cert number from the slab label in the grading company's own cert lookup and compare the result with the listing. Open the site yourself and do not use a link sent by the seller. Instructions: Grading guide.
What is BGS Black Label?
BGS Black Label is Beckett's top grade, in which all four subgrades (centering, corners, edges and surface) are 10. It is extremely rare and valuable. See Grading guide.
How do I spot a counterfeit card?
A counterfeit can often be spotted from the print, colours, font, thickness and feel, and from a price too good to be true. Compare the card with a known genuine card and verify the cert of a graded card. See Safe trading.
Which cards are sold on KorttiMarket?
KorttiMarket sells Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece and Lorcana cards, hockey cards and other trading cards as well as booster packs and other products. Start with search.
Safety and rules
How do I report a suspicious listing?
Use the Report function on the listing or user, or write to [email protected] and include a link and reasons. We handle reports and tell you the decision. Instructions: Report content.
What is feedback and how is it given?
Feedback is a 1–5 star rating that the buyer and seller can give each other after a sale, and it can be supplemented with a comment. Feedback must be based on a real sale and be truthful. See Terms of Service.
What happens if I break the rules?
We may remove the listing, issue a warning, restrict the account or close it, especially for repeated or serious breaches such as fraud. We give reasons for decisions and you can appeal them. See Terms of Service and Report content.
Do I have a right of withdrawal?
Only if you buy as a consumer from a business or trader: then you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. In sales between private persons there is no right of withdrawal, but you may rely on a defect if the item does not match the listing. See For business sellers.

How do I delete my account and data?
You can delete your account and download your data directly in Account settings. Deleting the account does not release you from obligations arising from sales already made. More information: Privacy policy.
